Save Bishop Street Post Office
The Post Office at Bishop Street will be closed and relocated to the basement of WH Smith from November 2007.
We do not want this relocation because:
The Post Office is a public service and shouldn't be making profits for company bosses.
The basement of WH Smith is not an appropriate space for disabled or elderly people.
Public opinion hasn't been taken into account - it has been completely ignored
The Post Office is a social meeting point for many pensioners, and on Bishop Street is close to a number of key services (i.e. Citizens Advice Bureau).
Staff working at the Post Office have provided years of dedicated service.
